I forgot how satisfying an afternoon of crafting can be until I got the invitation to a baby shower. It included this assignment: Bring a letter of the alphabet for a wall decoration for the baby’s room. It can be made out of anything! Be creative.
I was assigned the letter T. So I sat down at the card table with two paint sticks, a little craft wire, my stash of buttons, and a glue gun. Turned on the latest Masterpiece Theater movie that I had recorded with my DVR, and spent an hour and a half being creative. What fun!
Thanks to Beth for the great idea that gave me the opportunity to remember how much I enjoyed this sort of thing. So, I’m thinking of the next project. I’m repurposing two rooms in my house–one into a guest bedroom and one into a music/playroom for visiting grandkids. I wonder what I will paint on the walls?
