connecting the dots between then and now

photo_18670_20100814This challenging article by John Eldridge was recently posted  on Faith Gateway Daily Devotionals–Remember the Dragon: Christmas Is an Invasion.

There are strong parallels between what is happening in the world today and what was happening when Christ was born. The horrible genocides that we are hearing in the news happened when Mary and Joseph were struggling to feed, clothe, and care for their baby. And it took divine intervention to save their son–God sent a dream to Joseph telling him, “Get up. Run away to Egypt.”
