From Cast-off to High Couture—Renegade Rags

After beginning her 25 years in Pella with the Parks Department doing in grounds-keeping, landscaping and design, Jill Edwards changed jobs, but didn’t leave color behind. Jill currently works for the Pella Arts Center teaching kids and adult art classes.

As an independent artist for the last  fifteen years, Jill’s creations have be sold in various galleries. Although she enjoys creating in a variety of mediums, her work shows a strong focus in fiber art, wool felting, jewelry making, silk painting, and textile distortion. Pottery, glass mosaic, painting, mixed media, and wood are mediums she also enjoys.

You will be delighted with Renegade Rags, her altered couture line of raggedy, ripped up and reclaimed one- of-a- kind art wearable art: clothing and accessories.

Color is Jill’s main inspiration.
