Our bodies need nourishment daily for health and strength. This is how God created us. Jesus reminds us of our physical need for sustenance when he describes himself as the Bread of Life.
“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
John 6:35, NLT
Eating food (bread) is a necessary daily function. In John 6, Jesus fully intended to draw a parallel from our physical to our spiritual condition. We need to eat “spiritual bread” daily for health and sustenance.

To overcome evil, we must believe that we have a new life with Christ, whose name we praise. In faith we trust that He lives in us, that He is renewing us to know our Creator and become like Him. As we live in Him, we begin to produce Holy Spirit fruits, and we learn how to pray powerful prayers.
