Kathie’s Dig into Ephesians 1:3-6

Paul begins and ends these three verses with praise, did you notice that? Paul is evidently very excited about who God is and who we are to him, so enthusiastic that he can’t stop pointing out how amazing God is.

We humans are made to praise, not just in our heads, but with our voices. “Isn’t she beautiful?” “Did you see the sunset last night?” “Look at that rainbow!” There is so much to praise about God, let’s do it all day long in our thoughts and with our voices.

3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. 4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. 6 So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. (Ephesians 1:3-6, NLT)

I was amazed at how much information about God and His relationship with us is contained in these verses.

GODBELIEVERS

He loved and chose us to be His outside of time, before He made the earth (4)We feel God’s love focused on us (4)
God provided a way for us to be holy and without fault in His eyes (5)We are sinners, yet God has provided us a way to be with Him now and forever through Jesus Christ (5)
This is God’s will, and He took pleasure in planning this (4)We praise God for His glorious grace and sacrifice for us (6)

Every time I thought I was done doodling these verses, I found something else that I forgot to include.

Pray with me:

Creator and Father, Thank you that you, High God above, love us all absolutely, with a value that You assigned to each of us when you Sent your Son to die in our place. He declared that each one of us is worth the price. We are worthy because God has made us that way. Lord help us to live and sing your praises as unstoppable forces of nature that bring the Kingdom of heaven to earth. I praise your name. Amen

Let’s sing along with Toby Mac and praise the Lord our God. We see You in everything all day. I can’t stand still when this song is on!
