Transformed, a New Creation

Humanity is broken.

But God doesn’t leave us that way.

There’s a Japanese art called “Kintsugi” that involves repairing broken pottery using lacquer dusted with gold, silver, or platinum. The lacquer draws attention to the repairs instead of hiding them.

We were broken.
In Christ, we are new creations.

For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:16-17, NLT)

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! (2 Corinthian 5:17, NLT)

What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation. May God’s peace and mercy be upon all who live by this principle; they are the new people of God. (Galatians 6:14-16, NLT)
