Van Zee’s Vibrant Paintings Focus on Inner Landscapes

Melynda Van Zee’s vibrant and colorful paintings are focused on inner landscapes, unseen realities and spiritual explorations. She has been painting and sharing her love of art for twenty years. She creates in her home studio located in rural Iowa in the midst of love and chaos with her husband and three boys.

Melynda is the author of Painted Scrapbook Pages, published by Lark Books. Her work has been featured in such diverse publications as Art Journaling, Legacy Magazine, Memory Makers, Scrapbooking & Beyond, and The Banner.

Melynda earned her BA in Elementary Education and Art from Dordt College. She has spent years in classrooms, art camps, community art centers, and retail stores teaching about art and spirit and creativity to children and adults. Her work is exhibited in art shows and art fairs around the  Midwest.
