Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

My doodle: With the help of the Holy Spirit, I am tearing out my old nature and burning it in the fire. My transformation is ongoing as God’s fruit and blessings are filling the empty spaces inside me, replacing the old with the new.
There’s a Japanese art called “Kintsugi” that involves repairing broken pottery using lacquer dusted with gold, silver, or platinum. The lacquer draws attention to the repairs instead of hiding them. The art is influenced by ideas in Japanese philosophy such as seeing beauty in imperfection and the acceptance of change.
