Reflecting God: Variety

As Christians, we are at war, so we fight to overcome or be overcome. Our mission in God’s army is as real as that of the Biblical warriors we listed in Monday’s blog. We need to constantly be ready to answer the call. Satan’s fiery arrows can cause great harm when we are carelessly half-dressed in God’s armor. Be prepared. When the Holy Spirit knocks on the doors of our hearts, we have to welcome Him into every room. He provides a chain reaction that will bring us to battle-ready status at any time. Strike the match with praise. It only takes a spark to ignite faith and trust in God so it blazes like a bonfire in our hearts. No matter what is happening or how deeply we have sunk into disaster, we are never out of range of God’s communication system. We pray; He responds.

SCRIPTURE

8 Because I set you, Yahweh, always close to me, my confidence will never be weakened, for I experience your wraparound presence every moment. 9 My heart and soul explode with joy—full of glory! Even my body will rest confident and secure.
Psalm 16:8-9, The Passion Translation

So, here we are, all dressed for the occasion in Ephesians 6 armor, on whatever battlefield-against-evil that God has placed us. And He tells us, “Do not be afraid.”
