When there’s nothing you can do…

So, you’re in a situation. Maybe you are afraid or angry, or angry because you are afraid. Who are you angry at?

You might be frustrated, in pain, to tired to push through, alone, or rejected. Who do you blame for that?

Maybe the doctor’s report was not what you wanted to hear. Why weren’t you granted a miracle cure?

When you realize things are out of control, and there’s nothing you can do to change it. Who do you blame?

Where is God when you need Him?

He’s right there with you. He’s already given you all the faith you need to believe His promises that He works all things together for your good. But you can’t find your faith or if you do, it’s too slippery to hang onto by yourself.

So, what do you do? Something that is the opposite of your emotions.

You can choose to turn your face to Jesus, and praise Him. Tell Him everything you know about Him. If you can’t do that just yet, sing a praise song. Or read the Psalms, out loud. Or say His name, Jesus Christ, over and over again. Think about all that He has done for you in the past (Ebenezer), and read Romans 8:28 out loud.

If we choose to praise God, no matter what the circumstance, this begins a chain reaction—one that God has set up to brings us back into relationship with Him.

Praise God so that your faith fire burns bright.

That will bring you to prayer—your prayers and God’s power.

With these links in the chain firmly secure, you can overcome evil in the power and authority of Jesus Christ,

So thatyou are a part of God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, just as Jesus told us. We are part of God’s family; the Holy Spirit lives in us; we are part of a community of believers.

You choose. If you can’t do it on your own, God will help you get there.

Let the chain reaction begin.
