I’ve heard this line from medical profession far too often in my life. So, my reaction this last time was, “Of course, you did.”

Then, after hearing the options: waiting, see what happens, let it grow for a while, etc, my modus operandi is, “Take it out.”

Today, thinking about “take it out,” I wish to be this proactive with the things of the world that I allow to remain inside to influence me, harm me, affect my health, and build walls to keep me away from my faith.

Lord, I need a spiritual PET Scan to help me identify all the things I am holding onto that keep me from you. Let me hear—really hear and believe—the report on the pathology. Let me consult with my spiritual specialists on earth, but, mostly, open my ears and eyes to the Holy Spirit in me. And then, in Your authority and power, “TAKE IT OUT!” And fill it with love, strength, faith, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness—which only come from and through You.
