As believers, we are on a journey to become more and more Christ-like. The Bible gives us a roadmap for the journey, and the Holy Spirit is our guide.

Praise, faith, and prayer are

interrelated and inseparable. Prayer flows out of faith in God alone. Our faith is activated when we praise God and focus on Him. So these three—praise, faith, and prayer—are the building blocks of the relationship between God the Father and His children and heirs.

Praise is our “spiritual pivot.” By praising God we plant one foot firmly on the ground and swing ourselves around in a 180-degree turn (like a basketball player) so that we focus on God instead of ourselves and our problems. When we practice the praise pivot, the resulting reorientation awakens and increases our faith.

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord.  Trust him, and he will help you.

When we live in faith, it transforms us and changes the way we see the world. Faith gives us new prescription lenses to view the world that stem from our strengthening connection with our Heavenly Father. Conversation—listening and speaking—is crucial to this relationship, and that interaction is what we call prayer.

And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for. 1 John 5:14-15, NLT
