- Has this whole Covid issue made fear your constant companion?
- Have life’s circumstances got you down?
- Have you been trying to grab hold of your faith, but can’t find it?
The answer to these issues is not to be braver, stronger, or to try harder.
The answer is to focus on God.
Here are some suggestions on how to do that:
Read Job 38 to learn about God and what He says the creation tells you about Him.
Pick a science: biology, chemistry, physics, etc.
Pick an item or concept in that science.
Write, graph, or draw what it tells you about God.
Here are three quotes from Albert Einstein. Discuss what they say about God with someone you respect. Do you agree or disagree?
“God always takes the simplest way.”
“God does not play dice.”
“He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed.”
Read Psalm 35:5-9. Notice how David praised God using the creation to focus on God’s attributes.
Pray with me:
Almighty Creator, ruler of all things, we stand in awe of you. Thank you for the world you created. Open our eyes to see your hand in the world around us. Open our minds to learn more of you. Amen
