Prayers come in all shapes and sizes. Some come out as sobs, others as pleas, and others giving thanks. Sometimes we pray scripture. This declaration of faith prayer is a little of all of these. Kathie

Almighty God,
I fall to my knees
and pray to the Father,
the Creator of everything
in heaven and on earth.
You made me,
and I am Yours. [Ps. 100:3]

I pray that from Your glorious
and unlimited resources
You will empower me
with inner strength through your Spirit. 

Christ, I open my heart to You
and invite You
to make Your home in my heart
for I trust You.

I want to grow my roots down deep,
immersed in Your love,
relying on You alone
to keep me strong.

Give me the power to understand,
as all God’s people should,
how wide,
how long,
how high,
and how deep
Your love is.

May I experience the love of Christ,
even though it is too great
to understand fully.
Only then will I be made complete
with all the fullness of life
and the power that comes
from You, our God and Father. [Eph. 3:14–19]
