Today I am memorizing and saying Proverbs 4:20-23 out loud at least seven times. I must admit, this is my own translation of the verse–helps me to remember it easier. I was amazed at how much it aligns with today’s text of Colossians 3:16. Thank you for reiterating, Lord.
Say Proverbs 4:20-23 out loud with me:
Pay attention to God’s words. Listen to what He says.
Keep His words in the forefront of all you see. Let them light up your heart.
For they are life to those who find them and provide health for our bodies.
Diligently care for your heart, for from it springs the issues of life.
Colossians 3:16 (New Living Translation)
Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.
Colossians 3:16 (The Message)
Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God!
