All humankind inherited death from Adam as a consequence of sin. When you look at history, you see that conflicts of nations are also inherited. The whole situation between Abraham, Sarah, and Hagar led to generations of hatred between Jews and Arabs.
We inherit blessings as well.
DNA is only one way of leaving an inheritance for generations. We can also pass things on by molding or example. Anger teaches anger; resentment breeds resentment; laughter brings laughter, etc.
A potent way of passing things on is through judging and condemning others.
You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things. Romans 2:1, NLT
When you judge others, it sets a pattern down through the generations that follow you. You will do to others what has been done to you.
The most powerful law concerning generational sin is the law of sowing and reaping. Don’t be deceived. The reaping isn’t just for you, but it is also for those who come after you.
