In order to be filled with contentment I need to make space for it—throwing out comparison and envy. The Holy Spirit will help me identify and chop away the deadwood. Then I start counting my blessings, and there are many even on my worst days.
Be energetic in your life of salvation, reverent and sensitive before God. That energy is God’s energy, an energy deep within you, God himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure. (Philippians 2:13, MSG)
